Canadian Beef Stew

Ingredients:
2 tablespoons canola oil
2 pounds beef stew meat
2 tablespoon FIVE STAR CANADIAN GRILLE SEASONING
1 - 12 ounce bottle Canadian beer
1 quart prepared FIVE STAR BEEF BROWN SAUCE 1 cup diced rutabaga
1 cup diced carrots
1 cup diced onion
3 cups diced skin-on Yukon Gold potatoes
1 cup tomato puree

Directions:
Heat the oil in a large soup pot. Season the meat with CANADIAN GRILLE
SEASONING. Brown the meat over high heat then add the beer and let simmer
for 5 minutes. Add the BEEF BROWN SAUCE, vegetables and tomato puree and
stir well. Simmer covered for 1 1/2 hours stirring often, or until the meat is fork
tender. Serve with Caramelized Onion and Bacon Biscuits (see recipe).

This recipe produces approximately 8 - 12 ounce portions.
