Mesquite Country Ribs in Oven Smoked Tomato Sauce

Ingredients:
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
3 1/2 pounds bone-in country style pork ribs
1 - 28 ounce can tomato puree
1/4 cup FIVE STAR MESQUITE SEASONING
1/4 cup dark brown sugar

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350F. Heat the oil until almost smoking in a large braising pan.
Brown the ribs on all sides over high heat. Meanwhile combine the tomato puree,
MESQUITE SEASONING and brown sugar in a mixing bowl and stir well to
blend. When the ribs are browned pour the tomato mixture over them, cover,
then bake for 1 1/2 hours. Remove the ribs to a platter, pour half of the sauce
over them and serve, passing around the extra sauce.
