Pan-Seared or Broiled Halibut
Ingredients:
24 ounces (1 ½ pounds) halibut fillets or steaks
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 ½ tablespoons FIVE STAR LEMON PEPPER (or CAJUN) SEASONING
Directions:
If not pre-portioned, cut the halibut into 4-6 ounce portions. Brush both sides
of
the fish with vegetable oil then sprinkle the seasoning evenly on both sides.
Cook in a non-stick fry pan over medium high heat for 2 minutes on each side
per inch of fish thickness (or broil for a total of 4 to 5 minutes per inch of
fish
thickness) until just cooked through.
Serve hot on a bed of steamed rice and vegetables.
This recipe produces approximately 4 –6 ounce portions.
Hint: FIVE STAR TERIYAKI GRILLE SEASONING also goes very well with
halibut. Just substitute 2 ¼ tablespoons of TERIYAKI GRILLE for the 1 ½
tablespoons of LEMON PEPPER or CAJUN SEASONING and cook as directed
for a distinctly Asian flavor.
