Seasoned Rice for Gumbo

Ingredients:
1 pint long grain rice
1/4 cup butter
3 pints prepared FIVE STAR SHELLFISH or CHICKEN STOCK
1/2 onion 1/4 inch diced
2 tablespoons FIVE STAR JAMAICAN JERK SEASONING BLEND

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt butter in a 5-quart pan over medium heat
and add onion and cook until translucent. Add rice and JAMAICAN JERK
seasoning and stir until well coated for about 2-3 minutes, don’t brown.
Add the stock and bring to a simmer. Cover and bake in the oven for 15-18
minutes until all stock is absorbed. Adjust seasoning to taste and serve.

This recipe produces approximately 10 - 2 ounce portions.
